Stop making sense

And pamphlets to the same...  Here as well... If you haven't seen this you just gotta...

Why Zabriskie Point is very important and why you never hear it mentioned in anything about Pink Floyd.. Well it was a turning point for the band, and while it isn't thought of as important and no one seems to think of it as such, it seems at least to me to be the last time Pink Floyd would work the way they did.. They worked on this soundtrack, the music for which is mostly outtakes from earlier works reworked to be for this movie.. Heart Beat, Pig Meat is used in different stadiums around the world, the rhythm of which is very catchy, mostly at baseball games.. I was at one years ago, and heard the rhythm and I thought, where have I heard that from??  Zabriskie Point.. Come in number 51 your time is up..  Well that is just  reworking of Careful With That Axe Eugene and the climax of the cliff exploding timed with Roger screaming..

But after Zabriskie Point there would be works by the Floyd that no one would mistake being from that work or that group.. But I feel like they had to do this album to get to where they would eventually get to.. Same as with Atom Heart Mother.. While no one thinks it is a vital album, I felt like without it, that any part from that album could have been in Dark Side of The Moon, screwing up the chemistry of what was the perfect album.. Or imagine Funky Dung being on Wish You Were Here.. Nobody would have wanted that.. I know it just wouldn't have been good at all.. Those albums before the greatest run of albums is why they went as well as they did.. Or at least I think it was that way..  You be the judge.. Get a copy of wish you were here and Atom Heart Mother and clip and track from said album into the running order of wish you were here..  They have the programs to do it with, give it a try.. See if you don't agree, Atom heart mother was a good album to leave that music where it was.. On the doorstep of greatness..
