SOON TOO... or TOO SOON

THIS VIDEO IS FROM A HYPNOSIS VIDEO.. And I don't think there is any subliminal video stuff here but I'm not sure..   This is the start of some video works that will showcase some ideas I have started to get.. Trying to acquire certain visuals for ideas that I want to just mess with.. Clipping videos and editing the music.. Working on graphics as well as all aspects of everything involved to try to get the final product to be as close to my vision as I can get..

Homeless is a song that pops into my head fairly regular and for that matter was something I was hearing through the past month or so.. I can't explain it.. The guitar is just mesmerizing, the parts that flow into each other.. I'm   not sure which of the three guys are playing the part as all three were guitar players on this album.. Zlatko was the guest guitarist so I like to think he was the one, however the length of the part makes me tend to think it is Edgar .. But Jerome is equal to the task as he played on the track above (Backstreet Hero)...

Oriental Haze, the first song on the album 220 volt live and the signature or how their music sounds.. That might be good or it could also be bad depending on how you feel.. Tangerine Dream started in the early sixties and this album was released in the early nineties so they evolved quite dramatically over the years.. This album was my starting point with their music and I figured I would get the live album and then look for those songs from this album on the corresponding studio albums.. Which would work with any other band but with these guys it wasn't that way.. They would record bits from the tour and not have them be from a studio album almost ever.. That was the way in the early days, less so now though as they do play familiar songs at their concerts now...  They were more of an improv type of band in the early days playing nearly all new music at their shows...  From this album I moved back in time as there were nearly no new albums after this one at that time, of course that has changed since they started their own record label and released some four albums a year on a slow year. other years would see back recordings released.. Old stuff and new.. Never before heard and familiar music as well..

Finally there is Hamlet..  If I wasn't sold on the band by this point, Hamlet did the trick.. Turns out Edgar plays the lead guitar and guitar synthi on this track..  There is a certain amount of emotion that is within this track that is where the sudden attraction to their music came from and like most people who do a drug for the first time, chasing that feeling is what became paramount in my addiction to their music..  I would get satisfied in several recordings over the next few years as getting just about everything they ever released was nearly impossible.. But it was fun trying...

THE THORN THAT IS..

Life, don't tell me about life..
Is Paul Ryan an idiot??  No, he is a politician.. I think there are steps of logic and he has none.. How can he think he can stretch the truth (lie) and get away with it??

OH GREAT MORE WEIRD CRAP

I can't help it.. I started to put this video together thinking I should do it myself, then checked the 'Tube and there were several to chose from.. King Crimson   "Cat Food"  and why this particular song? Well I was out on the deck earlier and swatted a fly and actually hit it and thought there you go, cat food and the song popped into my mind..  A strange little ditty of a song by one of my favorite progressive bands.. :

Lady Window Shopper with a new one in the hopper
Whips up a chemical brew
Croaking to a neighbor while she polishes a saber
Knows how to flavor a stew
Never need to worry with a tin of 'Hurri Curri'
Poisoned especially for you

No use to complain
If you're caught out in the rain
Your mother's quite insane
Cat food, cat food, cat food again

No use to complain
If you're caught out in the rain
Your mother's quite insane
Cat food, cat food, cat food again

Lady Yellow Stamper with a fillet in a hamper
Dying to finish the course
Goodies for the table with a fable on the label
Drowning in miracle sauce
Don't think I am that rude if I tell you that it's cat food
Not even fit for a horse
Is ERA  AMENO  a religious song??   I always wondered..  With that being said this popped into my head as I was looking for the next group.. How opposite can you get??

Well god damn   did I say it or not...???!!!        Here it is  The great Flowing Tears    from of all places   Germany.. No big deal, there are  a lot of great bands from that backwards ass country.. and This is one of them.. :

I'm sure I've placed this gem here before.. But if not why not put it here again anyway.. Restless by Within Temptation... They are on the area of Nightwish because  Marco Hietela has written/played with them before...

I wasn't going to include this one this week but because the entry seemed a bit short, like the podcast ones recently.. Here it it.. A box set is great for extra bits of songs and ideas and ideas for.. Songs or parts of songs or stuff to be used as a bit of amusement somewhere else.. With the Eagles box set I used some bits on a video and on this video here I put King Crimson "Einstein's Relatives" on this video.. Not a full on great track but parts of it were used in parts of songs in that period..

Because this entry went to shit in a way I re edited it so it wasn't crapped out.. Next week will have a full entry of new videos I am working on..  Not the Dark Side project, it has been shelved for now (until I get control of the music idea portion)..  More crap like this one, but more musical.. featuring the very first music by a group I really fell on my head for..

A QUICK LFTC clip

This is just a quick piece of a podcast   a video version of a podcast from a guy who calls his Live From The Compound.. In this case it is just a quick snipit that is from some time back (the girl in this video was his girlfriend at the time and they have been split for four months if not more)  and this was a showing of one of his favorite shows "Toddlers and Tieras" and he likes the show for reasons others might find distasteful.. He likes to see the kids start to cry and carry on, but who doesn't like a little controversy from time to time.. This scene is more about the girlfriend  Mellisa Stetten, a New York based model that has worked world wide..
