DISTRACTIONS

TRAVELOG:  ... The video about getting there, with the song Flashflood by Tangerine Dream as the theme song.. Getting there and getting back.. There are three trips involved with this video.. The one trip I will remember the most was when we came back on back roads in Colorado.. Because of a tire issue, nobody felt safe going down the road at 75 mph and so we came back roads rather than be a possible road hazard... And some of the sites that we saw that day were the most memorable for me anyway.. I wish we could go that route again, and even do it in reverse direction.... It seems like when we go somewhere it is a rush to get there and not to enjoy the trip..  It's why the last few trips we went on I was glad to not have to drive, I was able to look at the scenery and enjoy what the Earth has out there.. Every aspect of these trips were great.. I don't know how many people get to see the areas we were in.. From going to Silverton from Moab the back way.. That as well was fantastic to see...

ARCHES: Pictures from the Arches National Park out by Moab Utah with the song Canyon Carver by Tangerine Dream from the Canyon Dreams soundtrack.. The first time we went there back in the nineties I did a lot of the video from that trip. And the part of the video that starts here on this song has the picture idea from that trip back then.. I know I was trying for an idea with the old camera back then and kept tipping back and I remember dad saying you sure you got enough of that video.. And I had the song Canyon Carver in my mind as a good song for a video idea I was working on way back then that never got any traction to get even started.. Yes I was doing music videos way back then even further back in the mid eighties..  This was a good video concept and the song just fit perfect...

SILVERTON: The start of this video took an idea from Jordan's wedding, the part where "Silverton" is there and then the banner with the city on it fades into view.. Just as with the reception part of the wedding video...  This one as well is a picture essay about the trips to Silverton with the song Colorado Dawn by Tangerine Dream off of the Canyon Dreams soundtrack..   The trips included the hard rockers holidays one year. Everything about Silverton's existence is wrapped into that one day.. I always thought it would be cool to have a rock concert there at the same time, but.. Maybe a tie-in of some sort some day..  The time we hiked up Kendall mountain, or in my case tried to get fairly high up there.. Some pictures from that hike.. From the mines..Mayflower mill..  Forth of July parade, water fight  and fire works displays... 

GUESSWERKORANGE: This name was just what the folder the pictures were in was called.. As you might know I just name things this way (such is where the name of this blog came from)..  This one was the forth in the four video ideas.. The song is called Chia Maroon and is from the Oasis soundtrack by Tangerine Dream..  This video was just some leftover pictures from the trips in the previous videos as well as some from the fotolab folder.. Some of this video has pictures that I took of old houses around the area.. And by old I mean the kind that are on the verge of falling down.. And then I used the caption on the program to put a caption on these pictures that of the "Home Office" designation..  Some humor from me, of which most people don't get my sense of humor, it is quite off to every direction... But this is it.. The final in this short series..
