LEAGUE vs FARTHING

In an entry earlier this week I had the lyrics to Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads and I thought I should include the video for the song here..  So quirky and yet so good..

I was charged last year with watching the nephew for my little brother and it started again this week.. Friday I walk in on this video playing on the VH-1 channel and couldn't help but laugh in amazement.. Who actually thought these were good??

And then there was ZZ Top "Legs".. What a story, Good looking girl gets harassed, meets some fairy god mother type and gets transformed into a better looking girl, hooks up with the grill geek and walks all over the idiots who were bothering her two minutes earlier in the classic returning of the Cinderella tale.. 

UFO  "Lights Out"  with the great Michael Schenker"..  You want great rock & roll... HERE IT IS...  Done live because they were better live than ...   not..

Talk about a misleading name, Baby Animals were closer in relation to the great Saraya rock metal outfit than anything else ..

And speaking of Saraya, who had never heard of this classic song.. Talk about great music in the wasteland that was 80's excess..

Slade, what can I say about them that hasn't already been dread..    One of the true bad boy bands.. Just gotta love them..

And then there was Sweet or the Sweet as you might find the listed..  They really were as bad boy as this song implies.. This could be where punk started but since it was such a different sound and feel than punk.. This was rock pushed to the very limit..

Changing gears    wayyyy      ...  This group was a special find a couple years ago.. Maybe longer.. Conjure One, the kind of music I like at this time (amongst a few thousand other groups) but this music style is called "chill"  and the best way for me to describe it is to take this song at the slower BPM and double it and then double it again and you have the type that my little brother and his wife are now into.. This is Conjure One with "Center Of The Sun"..
